Our Story

Umoja Shoe Company Ltd, also known as Umoja Footwear Limited in Uganda, is a family-owned Kenyan company that has been providing high-quality, comfortable, and stylish footwear since 1978. Founded by four brothers in the coastal town of Kilifi, Umoja embodies its Swahili name, which means "unity," in both product and practice.

Dedicated to fostering unity in its business operations, Umoja employs over 3,000 people, providing essential livelihoods to local communities. The company is committed to using ethically sourced materials, fair labor practices, and sustainable production methods, ensuring that each product not only reflects quality but also social responsibility.

Umoja’s footwear caters to a wide range of customer needs, from casual to formal wear, blending traditional African patterns with modern designs.
